I'm the space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin' bitch for you

RENT!
I own it already because I am that cool and Beth and I ditched school to go buy it. For the record HMV is two dollars cheaper than Future Shop and WAY cooler.
So school is back in session...And that really sucks. Yesterday all I did was start a new story in English instead of paying attention. Yes that's right a new story. And it's not even fandom based, it's a real story with people I made up. It even sort of has a plot, most of which I'm working out as I go. I was debating posting the first chapter on fictionpress but decided against it because I don't have a beta or a title or a summary and I'm far too lazy.
In other news....Alright so I have no other news. I added another fandom to my roster though, I think that makes me even less cool than before but I'm strangely okay with that. It's all Beths fault, she wanted a story so I wrote her one, even if it's horrible and already going nowhere after only ten pages. I think that may be a new record.
Tomorrow is Comic Day, just like every wed. But it's still exciting, especially because there's talk of Astonishing coming back soon. And that makes me very happy.
On a totally unrelated note I really hope this Europe thing happens, it would be really cool.

the end.

BOWIEQUOTE!!!“I've always been very chauvinistic, even in my boy-obsessed days. But I was always a gentleman. I always treated my boys like real ladies. Always escorted them properly and, in fact, I suppose if I were a lot older--like 40 or 50--I'd be a wonderful sugar daddy to some little queen down in Kensington. I'd have a houseboy named Richard to order around.”

Everything's spent and I dig everything

Wow, so much has happened and I haven't told any of you about any of it.

Um, what to start with?

Okay, Beth and I found a dog. It was running in traffic and we saved it. And by saved, I mean chased it down the street until we could convince it that we weren't going to hurt it. We put it in my car (which is now dog-hair central)and drove around where we found her to see if anyone was looking for a dog...they weren't. So we stopped at my house and picked up some dog food and then took her to Beth's house where she spent the night, we named her Rebel/Bowie/Dude/Ziggy...we couldn't make up our mind. The next day we were going to take her to the SPCA (and by we I mean Beth because i was too sleepy), but Beth called ahead and someone had already reported her missing. So the lady came and picked her up, apparently the dogs name was Ginger...our name was WAY better by the way. I'll post a picture of the dog when i upload them to my computer. Don't hold your breath.

I played an AWESOME prank on my work. Originally it was going to be on Cory, because he flips out over the stupidest things...so i turned all of the movies on the New Release wall upside down. And in the middle of it Steph, my bud and assistant manager came in, she kept telling me Cory was going to snap and break something. So when she left I called Cory, and got him to help me prank Steph. Since he opened the next day and Steph was in at 3, I got him to pretend he got so mad that he fired me. The great part is that she fell for it. I mean, REALLY fell for it. She was super upset, and then i came in acting all pissed off, to return my movies and walk up to her and she's all sketched out. Then all i had to say was "I can't believe you fell for it..."....needless to say she's not talking to me right now.

What else...Oh, Everyone who likes Yellowcard...or that type of music NEEDS Lights and Sounds, it's SUCH a good CD, what a good impulse buy. Of course, the other half of it...probably not the best idea. I bought the Mummy Trilogy for 20 bucks at HMV, in an awesome case thinger...20 bucks!! For three movies. I thought it good at the time.

I can't think f anything else, other than I totally plan on taping all the drawers and cupboards at work shut tonight. What can i say, I'm a shit disturber.

BOWIE QUOTE!!!: "I'm looking for backing for an unauthorized auto-biography that I am writing. Hopefully, this will sell in such huge numbers that I will be able to sue myself for an extraordinary amount of money and finance the film version in which I will play everybody."- David Bowie

oh yeah...happy valentines bitches.

Instant Star - just add water

Okay, I was going to rename my blog with a David Bowie quote...Or song lyric...But since all of my post titles are song lyrics...And I couldn't find the perfect fit...I decided to name my blog after a tshirt I saw...And wanted to own.

But in my search for the awesome new title I came across some awesome Bowie quotes that just got me in trouble because I was laughing so hard I woke up my parents...How cool am I?

So I'm gonna post one with each new entry I think...And yes I know my obsession with David Bowie is somewhat....How should I put it....fucked up, but hey, I could be publishing my obsession with Peter Gabriel...So consider yourselves lucky.

I just got home from work and I'm too pissed off to sleep right now. I hate getting called into work. Not that I had any wicked good plans or anything (that wicked-good was for you Clint) but I still like having a day off once in a while. And was especially pisses me off is that they can guilt me into it. It takes practically nothing, like two minutes of whining and complaining, the promise of a slurpee and I'm there. And it's always fuckin' Janie's shifts. ALWAYS. Jeff and I worked it out, and we've worked more of her shifts then she has. How cool is that? Also, I have to brag, because I'm a total idiot and I managed to turn every single movie in my store upside down tonight. I'm gonna get shit but it amused me for a good three hours.

While I was doing this, I found a David Bowie movie. A brand new one. It's a western. I'm excited to watch it, but I have five movies out on my account and so I couldn't take it home. Even though I won't get to watch any of the movies now, because I had to fuckin' work tonight....Ugh.

And I'm done, so here is the fabulous Bowie quote of the day.

"If you're going to work in a whorehouse you better be the best whore in it" - Bowie

Oh how I sighed when they asked if I knew his name

Okay, it is t minus.....not very long until the oscars and I still have tons of movies to see. Mainly Brokeback Mountain, the superbowl interfered with my last attempt to go see the genius that is Ang Lee. Stupid superbowl...even the half-time show sucked.

Also I've heard so many good things about Capote that i really want to see that as well. And i know i need to see Syriana and Munich....even though i won't understand what the hell is going on in either of them.

I saw Wallace and Gromit......SO GOOD. Almost as good as the Wrong trousers....but i don't think they can ever top that.

I had another purpose for this post....oh right....since i'm obsessing over having every single song bowie has ever written....i've found a new best song by him...yes it exceeds space oddity and even the rise and fall....it's called Lady Stardust, presumably about the woman in Ziggy's life. Of course the more i listen to the song the more i think it's about a fan, or groupie i suppose. or someone who is just so infatuated with him that she loves his faults.....been there.

I have recently learned that my stocks are down. Not my real stocks of course...i have no idea how those are doing, or what they're in....I'm talking about my stocks at the Hollywood Stock Exchange. I currently have stocks in Ghost Rider (the movie), Pirates 2, and a Star bond with James Franco. All fo which have fallen. I'm disappointed that everyone is not as excited for those movies as i am. As for Franco, i can understand his fall...i mean really Tristan and Isolde....not so good, a step up from Sonny, but still not so good.

And I'm done.

EDIT: I didn't even cheat....

Oh, to capture just one drop of all the ecstasy

Once upon a time, when I was younger, I was sick a lot. I missed a lot of school, and a lot of far more important things. I hated it. I hated always being sick, but more than that I hated missing out on things. I had a bestfriend back then, who knew me by heart. I confided in her how much i hated both of these things and she smiled and said she knew. A week later, the second week of school, I broke my leg. The next day it was casted and I had to sit at home and not move whlie the cast set.
That same day my bestfriend slammed her hand in a door so hard it almost broke all of her fingers. She was sent home from school, but she couldn't stay at home because no one was there, so arrangements were made and for the next three days she sat next to me on the couch, not moving.
When I asked her what happened she grinned and said she wasn't paying attention, but everyone knew that door was heavy, the entire student body had been previously warned. I asked her why she was even at that door, it was out of the way of everything in our school. She smiled wider and said if I had to miss out on everything, then she would too.

Point of the story: I miss the fierce loyalty that comes with childhood friends.....and I wish I still knew her.

I can't do this, and I don't know why I thought I could.

My post just got deleted.....It was quite long......I'll try and write it again

I hate school. That about covers it.

I have acquired a few new addictions. One being stupid pins. Not safety pins, thankfully. Just random stupid pins that I put on everything I own. Even my pencil case has a pin on it, A Johnny Cash pin at that. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my buddy Beth for the sweet Batman pencil case...I will keep pencils in it always. Also, I have a newfound addiction to magnets...Now I'm not sure if it's only for Roman Dirge magnets, or all magnets in general, I'll keep you posted...Because I'm sure you give a damn.

WHAT IS THE ACADEMY THINKING??????
You have GOT to be kidding me. <- That was my reaction while reading the nominees for the 77th Academy awards. Now, let me clarify something, i am an Oscar's addict. I take it upon myself to see every movie nominated every year. I throw an Oscar party. I am the number one fanboy of the Academy Awards....but this is bullshit. Let's go through it by category shall we? Actor in a Leading Role
Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, David Strathairn and Heath Ledger I can understand... But Terrance Howard????? At first I thought I read something wrong. Because he was amazing in Crash...Which is nominated in almost every other category....But Hustle & flow? They must have been watching some other movie because I saw hustle and flow. I got it free from work. I STILL wanted my damn money back.
Supporting Role
Matt Dillon for playing a creepy cop....Makes sense, George Clooney...Well I haven't seen Syriana yet it's on my list though, William Hurt was good...Not Oscar good...But good, Jake Gyllenhaal...I just did something incredibly girly luckily you didn't have to witness it, Paul Giamatti????? COME ON!!! Not only did the movie suck, but he sucked in the movie, even if the movie was decent he still sucked in the movie.
Actress in a Leading Role
okay it's obvious that Keira Knightly is sleeping with someone very high up. VERY high up. The movie was bad and she just made it worse.
Supporting Actress
The kid from the OC was in Junebug.....That's all I have to say.
Animated Feature
I actually did a bit of a happy dance. Corpse Bride was AWESOME (even though my stupid work didn't get it on time), and Wallace and Gromit are always classic.

The only other thing I had a problem with was the Original Song Category:
It's Hard out Here For A Pimp....This is when I realized that not only did the Academy sell out, but it's desperately trying to reach a younger audience.....At any cost. This makes me sad for society in general.

I forget what else I wrote about so I'll end it here and go work on my essays, I've been avoiding them successfully all day...I hate school.
